Manual Handling Training
Manual handling training that helps reduce one of the most common causes of workplace injury. Take it online at each learner's own pace, or have us deliver a practical, hands-on group session at your premises — whichever works best for your team.
An in-depth look at the course
Manual Handling Training helps reduce one of the most common causes of workplace injury: the strains and longer-term musculoskeletal problems that come from lifting, carrying and moving loads incorrectly. Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, employers must reduce the risk of injury from manual handling, and training staff in safe technique is a core part of meeting that duty.
There are two ways to train. Online is the quickest and usually easiest — each learner works through the course at their own pace and receives a certificate on completion, priced per learner with no minimum. Or we can deliver a practical on-site session at your premises, where staff get hands-on coaching on safe lifting technique using the kinds of loads they actually handle.

Who should attend
The course is for anyone who lifts, carries or moves loads at work — warehouse, logistics and delivery staff, care workers, retail teams, cleaners, and office staff who move stock or equipment. Train online for convenience, or on-site where hands-on coaching with realistic loads adds the most value.
Assessment & certification
Online learners complete an assessment within the e-learning and receive a certificate on completion. On-site, the trainer assesses technique by observation during the practical session and issues certificates. Both routes provide a certificate for your records; the on-site option is the better fit where roles involve specialised or higher-risk handling that benefits from hands-on coaching.
Two ways to train: online or on-site
Choose the format that suits. Online, learners complete the course on any device whenever it suits — priced per learner with no minimum, ideal for induction and keeping training current as people join. On-site, our trainer runs a practical session at your premises, coaching safe technique with realistic loads and tasks for your roles. On-site group training starts from £495 +VAT for up to 12 people.
